Abridge

Abridge is an AI medical documentation tool that listens to clinical conversations between physicians and patients and automatically generates structured clinical notes in the physician's own style and terminology. The AI transcribes the encounter, extracts relevant clinical information, and drafts a note formatted to the physician's preferences and the organization's documentation standards. Physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinicians use Abridge to eliminate the documentation burden that drives clinician burnout. Rather than spending 1-2 hours after each clinical day typing notes from memory, clinicians review and edit AI-generated drafts that capture the encounter accurately. This reclaims time for patient care and personal recovery. Abridge is integrated into Epic, the dominant electronic health record system, making deployment straightforward for health systems using Epic.
